Instant Pot Baked Christmas Beans
A mounthwatering sweet, slightly spicy, glaze covers every morsel in these baked beans. Using an Instapot cuts down on the cooking time and since it’s all done in the pot, it’s easy too! We used our Christmas Bean Blend, but these are great anytime, making them the perfect side for a potluck or cookout.

Instant Pot Baked Christmas Beans

Ingredients
- 16 oz. The Old Mill Christmas Bean Blend
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- ¾ lb. bacon, chopped
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ¾ cup Pottery House Cafe Southern Style BBQ Sauce
- ½ cup The Old Mill Smoky Mountain Molasses
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp. ground mustard
- 1 tsp. salt
Instructions
- Combine beans and 8 cups of water in an Instant Pot. Close and lock the lid. Cook on high pressure according to manufacturer’s instructions for 15 minutes. Allow 10-15 minutes for pressure to build. Release pressure using natural release method for 20 minutes; quick release remaining pressure according to manufacturer’s instructions. Unlock and remove lid; drain beans and set aside.
- Turn on sauté function and heat oil 1 minute. Add bacon and onion and cook 4 minutes or until fat is rendered. Add garlic and cook 1 minute. Add 1 ½ cups water, BBQ sauce, molasses, brown sugar, mustard, salt, and beans and turn pot off.
- Close and lock lid. Select high pressure according to manufacturer’s instructions and set timer for 35 minutes. Allow 10-15 minutes for pressure to build.
- Release pressure using natural release method for 20 minutes; quick release any remaining pressure according to manufacturer’s instructions. Unlock and remove lid. Beans will continue to thicken as they cool.
