JALAPENO BEER BREAD

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Old Mill Self-Rising Flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 12oz beer at room temperature – use a brown ale, lager, or porter
  • 1 cup hot pepper shredded cheese
  • 2 heaping tablespoons of diced jalapeños

Instructions

  1. Mix together the flour and sugar.
  2. Make a well in the flour mixture and pour in the room temperature beer.
  3. Add the shredded cheese and diced jalapeños and blend well.
  4. Your batter will be sticky and should begin to pull away from the sides of the mixing bowl.
  5. Prepare the baking pan by greasing or spraying with a vegetable spray and pour in batter.
  6. Bake at 375 for 40 minutes or until top is golden brown.
  7. Let cool in pan on a wire rack for 10 minutes and then turn out of pan and let it continue cooling.
