Jalapeño Beer Bread
Jalapeno Beer Bread is the perfect side to soups, stew, and especially chili. So simple and quick to make, it uses just a few basic ingredients, which you can find near you to bring local flavor to your baking.

JALAPENO BEER BREAD
Ingredients
- 3 cups Old Mill Self-Rising Flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 12oz beer at room temperature – use a brown ale, lager, or porter
- 1 cup hot pepper shredded cheese
- 2 heaping tablespoons of diced jalapeños
Instructions
- Mix together the flour and sugar.
- Make a well in the flour mixture and pour in the room temperature beer.
- Add the shredded cheese and diced jalapeños and blend well.
- Your batter will be sticky and should begin to pull away from the sides of the mixing bowl.
- Prepare the baking pan by greasing or spraying with a vegetable spray and pour in batter.
- Bake at 375 for 40 minutes or until top is golden brown.
- Let cool in pan on a wire rack for 10 minutes and then turn out of pan and let it continue cooling.
