At The Old Mill we love sharing good food with you. Now we’re asking you to share your best recipe with us! 

Do you have a weeknight meal your family adores? Do you bake a cake or pie, or biscuits or cornbread that has everyone begging for the recipe? What about an appetizer or a favorite side dish that always gets rave reviews? Send us your favorite recipe made with our stone-ground grains and mill products, include a short story or description about the recipe — we love a good story — and enter our first-ever recipe contest.

Here's How to Enter

  • Enter your recipe in one of five categories: – Appetizers & Soups – Mains – Sides – Breads – Desserts
  • Must use an Old Mill product from the list below.
  • Include a story about the recipe such as where the recipe originated or why you created it.
  • Entries will be judged on taste, creativity, best use of our product, ease of preparation, and visual appeal.
  • We will test and select a best recipe from each category, then select one grand prize winner. 
  • The Old Mill Recipe Contest begins Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2020. 
  • Deadline is May 31, 2020. 
  • Submit your recipes online, snail mail or email. – Click HERE to submit your recipe or use the link below. – Email recipes to before midnight May 31, 2020. – Mail your entry to: The Old Mill Recipe Contest, 3348 Butler Street, Pigeon Forge, TN 37863. Entries must be postmarked by May 31, 2020.
  • Judging takes place in June, 2020. 
  • Winners will be notified by July 1, 2020 and winning recipes will be published on The Old Mill website in July, 2020.

Official Rules

  • Eligibility. This contest is open to legal U.S. residents residing in one of the 50 United States or District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. This contest is sponsored by The Old Mill. Employees and their immediate families, including any housemate of an employee (regardless of blood relation) are not eligible to participate.  
  • How to Enter. Contest begins at 12:01 am Eastern Time on February 18, 2020, and ends at 11:59 pm Eastern Time on May 31, 2020. This is the Deadline Date. Any online entry submitted via email must be received by 11:59 pm Eastern Time on May, 31st, 2020. In the event the contest is entered via a mobile device, message and data charges may apply. Any entry submitted via regular mail must be postmarked by May 31st, 2020. The Old Mill is the official timekeeper for this contest and has the ability to disqualify entries on the basis of a late submission. To enter via email, visit www.theoldmill/recipecontest and follow the instructions. All entries, rather via email or mail, must include your full name, your residing address, your mailing address (if applicable), telephone number, and email address (if applicable). Any entry that does not contain all necessary information stated above, will be disqualified. We advise you to closely follow all directions outlined in these Official Rules. Any eligible person can enter as many original recipes in the contest as they desire as long as the entry is qualified.  
  • Qualifying Entries. Each and every entry submitted must be the original work of the entrant to be considered a qualified entry. Any entry that has been previously published in any type of material, will be automatically disqualified. In the terms of this contest, “recipe” means and includes all contents of the recipe and all intellectual property materials created or provided with the submission, including photographs and copyright in any photographs submitted with the recipe. Any entrant may use other recipes for inspiration, but the entry must contain unique ingredient(s) and varied cooking instructions to substantially alter the recipe, in order for it to be considered as an original work. Each submitted recipe must not infringe on the copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other intellectual property rights of any other person or entity. By submitting a recipe as an original work, the entrant warrants and represents that he/she is the sole and exclusive owner of the recipe and that the recipe will not infringe on any rights of any third parties.  
  • Accepted Entries. All qualified entries and the entirety of the contents of the entry and all intellectual property associated with the entry, shall become the sole and exclusive physical property of The Old Mill and will not be acknowledged or returned. All recipes must be consistent with the image and values of The Old Mill and be consistent with and satisfy the purpose of the Contest. By submitting an entry, you also grant The Old Mill unrestricted use of the submitted entry which includes the right to publish your recipe, photos and any other information provided worldwide in all print and electronic media (now or hereafter existing) without time limitation, and the right to include: your name, character, signature, likeness, voice, hometown, and other biographical information in connection therewith. The Old Mill also reserves the right to edit, modify, translate, reproduce and distribute the submitted material in any medium and in any manner as it deems appropriate. The Old Mill may contact you via phone or email regarding your submission. Entrant by submitting the recipe also gives The Old Mill a royalty-free, irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, create derivative works from, and display such recipe in whole or in part, on a worldwide basis, in perpetuity, and to incorporate it into other works, in any form, media or technology now known or later developed, for any purpose whatsoever, including for promotional or marketing purposes, including on websites and all entrants waive any claims to royalty, right, or remuneration for such use. Each entrant shall acknowledge that other entrants may have similar recipes. Each entrant understands and agrees that he/she shall not have any claim against any other entrant or The Old Mill arising out any such similarity or be entitled to any compensation because of any such similarity. Any dispute arising out of copyright infringement and/or trademark liability, will be the sole responsibility of the entrant who submitted the unoriginal work at question.  
  • Judging. Winners will be determined and notified on or about July 1, 2020, by email, phone, or regular mail. While recognizing as stated above that all entries and the entirety of the contents of the entry and all intellectual property associated with the entry becomes the sole and exclusive physical property of The Old Mill, an entry in this contest and acceptance of prizes, to the extent necessary, also constitutes exclusive permission for The Old Mill to use the recipe in whole or in part and winners’ name, hometown and other biographical information, character, voice, signature, likeness and/or any other intellectual property materials created or submitted as part of the Contest, in addition to any and all materials created during public relations activities related to the Contest, and on published winners’ lists and for advertising and trade purposes without further compensation or authorization, worldwide and in perpetuity, in any and all forms of media, now known and hereafter devised, unless prohibited by law, and all winners waive any claims to royalty, right, or remuneration for such use.  
  • Conditions. By entering, participants agree to be bound by The Old Mill’s Official Rules and Privacy Policy By entering this contest, the entrant agrees to be solely responsible for, and shall hold The Old Mill and its agents harmless, in the event entrants fail to comply with The Old Mill’s Official Rules and Privacy Policy. The Old Mill is not liable for any malfunctions or failures of any telephone network or lines, computer internet system, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer, mobile or any other device and/or its contents related to or resulting from participation or downloading/uploading any materials related to this contest, or other technical difficulties or failures or errors of any kind. The Old Mill reserves the right to terminate or modify the contest at any time for any reason. In such a circumstance, all winners will be selected based on entries received to date of termination. The Old Mill also reserves the right to modify this contest in the event an insufficient number of entries are received and/or an insufficient number of entries meet the minimum judging criteria. In the event that two similar entries are received, only the entry judged to best meet criteria as set by The Old Mill will be included in the final judging.
