To our valued customers,
We understand the COVID-19 situation is fluid, and we will continue to keep you informed. The CDC and other health experts are guiding us as we adjust to new realities in the restaurant and retail industries.
At the Old Mill, we are driven by the mission of hospitality – and that starts with your health and safety and that of our team members.
We’re still milling grains just like we have for nearly 200 years. We’re still here to serve you and your family. Things are just a bit different. And that’s OK. There’s nothing more important than family right now, and we’re proud to serve yours.
With a heavy heart, we are suspending in-restaurant dining at the Old Mill Restaurant and the Pottery House Cafe after Sunday (March 22) and are curtailing our retail operations. This follows a week of difficult and unprecedented planning how to alter a major operation such as ours.
At the same time, our spirits are lifted by launching takeout and delivery service and even creating a helpful new product, hand sanitizer from the Old Forge Distillery which we will hand out to all to-go orders with a minimum purchase of $25.00 while supplies last.
In addition to large pre-made meals for the whole family, we’re also offering a Large Portions Menu for those want a little extra but have little time to prepare.
Menus and updated details are online at old-mill.com/takeout. Call in orders are accepted until 7 p.m.
Takeout and delivery service means we can continue to serve you our delicious food and keep a number of our employees at work. Our trusted employees will staff the delivery service, and the menus include family-sized meals and bulk foods. Please visit Old-Mill.com/takeout for up-to-the minute details.
We will continue the production of food items for our restaurants, our Old Mill General Store, and for shipping through our online store. That way, even our friends in distant locations can enjoy our soup mixes, bread mixes and other tastes of the Old Mill in the comfort of their homes.
We are altering our businesses because the coronavirus pandemic is real. We value your health and the health of our Old Mill family of employees. All of us must do what we can to get through this situation.
While we understand that social distancing is imperative, we know that people still need to eat, and we are pleased that food is central to our businesses. We want to provide a small bit of normalcy in this unsettling time.
We know things are changing fast and it’s hard to keep up with the world these past few days. Take a deep breath, be thankful for your blessings, and give us a shout if you get hungry. We’ve been around since 1830, so we’ve seen the best and the worst this world has to offer. There have been floods, famines, draughts, and wars, but The Old Mill keeps spinning. We’re here for you. We always have been.
